shrink or destroy abnormal thyroid tissue. There are different methods to ablate thyroid nodules, including radiofrequency, microwave, ultrasound, and laser energy. All of these methods are successful and have low complication rates. We are one of the few centers in Washington to offer radiofrequency ablation (RFA) to treat thyroid nodules.
